Takayama is located at the north end of town, Ikoma, Nara Prefecture. This city is in the national share of production accounted for more than 90 percent of bamboo whisk.
Seasoning of bamboo, such as working in the photo is done using a fallow field in the winter. This work is done until the white color of green bamboo. After few years, these bamboos will use in production of bamboo whisks.
